Duck Tape Rolls to 6th Win, Points Lead

On Saturday, September 19, the Duck Tape Volare continued its late-summer roll, finding the winner's circle at South Carolina's Pageland Dragway for the sixth time this season. Driver Michael Beard capped the evening with an .019 reaction time and a dead-on 6.909 in the finals. The victory backed up his win on Day 1 of a double-header there just one week ago.

This Saturday, September 26, is Pageland's final points race. At that time, when Beard picks up the five "entry points", he will take over the points lead by two rounds.

  1. Hello Mike,
Great to see a Mopar stomping the competition. My question to you is I'm building a 1980 volare as well to do the same and would like some tips. Can you provide any information as to your engine and chassis setup? What gears? trans setup?
    I'm building a .060 over 360 with a 727 trans.
