Carolina Bracket Series

Duck Tape Racing had a solid outing at the Carolina Bracket Series season opener this weekend at Coastal Plains Dragway in Jacksonville, NC. Two separate $3,000 to win races were contested, one Saturday and one Sunday, and I double-entered in both races. Despite some tricky windy conditions, the Duck Tape Turismo advanced to the quarter-finals both days. Sunday was particularly good, as I was fortunate enough to reel off a string of great reaction times: .010, .010, .024, .005, .032, .009, .019, .013, .011, and .004.

Sloan Racing Engines has completed the 5.9L DragPak Super Stock motor for the Volare. Thrashing commences this week to try to get the big car back on the track in time for the IHRA Summit Pro-Am Tour event at Dunn-Benson Dragstrip in two weeks. Thanks to Sloan as well as Southland Speed, Ross Pistons, Abruzzi Racing Transmissions and Converters, Jim Bailey's FINISHED, Macy Motorsports, K&N Filters, Bearden Oil - Sunoco, Bradley Auto Parts, Mickey Thompson Tires, CAM2 Blue Blood Racing Oil, Duck Tape brand duct tape, and everyone who has had a part in this undertaking!
