Duck Tape on the Scoreboard with Back-to-Back Finals

After a rough start to the 2011 season, Duck Tape Racing's Michael Beard threw the monkey of his back with a win at Farmington Dragway's long-postponed Race of Champions, an event featuring all of the Footbrake event winners at Farmington Dragway from the 2009-2010 seasons. It was a fitting win, as Beard qualified for the event by winning a different Race of Champions at Farmington back in November, one reserved for Footbrake Champions from any track or series, also accomplished with his Billy Nees Race Cars-prepped 2.2L front-wheel drive '85 Turismo stocker.

The very next day, Beard followed up the win with a runner-up at the first points race of the Carolina Class Racers Association Stock/Super Stock Combo at Piedmont Dragway near Greensboro, NC. Danny Waters, Jr. bested Beard in the finals with his Moser Engineering GT/EA Camaro... margin of victory, .0004!
